Biography

Mohammad Ghanbari, born on 21th March, 1977 , in Mashhad, is an Iranian filmmaker with a Bachelor’s degree in Film Directing. Active in both Mashhad and Tehran under the professional name Kia Ghanbari, he works across directing, editing, cinematography, photography, and film-making education. He is a graduate of the Directing Department at Sooreh Art University in Tehran. Film & Professional Activities Participation in numerous national and international festivals, earning several awards. Director of the short films “Unclear” and “The Frame of Time”, as well as the TV movie “Our Fathers.” Completion of advanced filmmaking programs in Turkey and Armenia in the fields of directing and editing. Director of the docu-fiction feature “A Migrant from the East.” Holder of international teaching certifications from the Technical and Vocational Training Organization, Art Card, and an active member of the Iranian House of Art Association. Ghanbari has also appeared as the lead actor in the narrative film “Gabriel Comes”, directed by Mehdi Arjmand a work that received the Best Film Award in the Contemporary section of the Barcelona Festival. He currently teaches filmmaking at the Arjmand Acting School (Dariush Arjmand) and the Dornamay-e Seniz Film Institute, where he is recognized as a dedicated and respected instructor.
